That’s bull. A lottery ticket is like cash. You lose it, it’s gone. If the person who finds it decides to be nice and try to find the owner, that’s fine, but they shouldn’t be obligated to by law.

Would depend on the size of the jackpot. But priority #1 would be escaping this job-from-hell that I’ve been in for over 26 years.

Yeah, I know, I should be grateful that I have a well-paying job when so many people don’t. But geez…26 effing years…I’m brain effing dead…

Edit: If I *found* a winning lottery-ticket I’d return it to the owner if I knew who it was or they could otherwise *prove* that it was theirs.

Of course they should be obligated to hand it in, it’s theft otherwise.

Something doesn’t quite ring true there, I mean, do you go around picking lottery tickets up and looking at the numbers.?
In reality, it is just like money, and if you find it, you should hand it in to the police and then if not claimed it is handed back to you after 3 months.

    Sign it on the back!
As someone else said “It’s like cash”
if you lose it then it’s hard luck!

If there was a name on it -I would return it. Otherwise, Finders keepers
