Wasting money.
Gaining an addicition.
Winning and wasting all of your money.
Getting robbed at the store that you buy the ticket.
Winning and falling into expensive, illegal behaviors (drug use, etc).
Increase in health risks due to the stress of continous losses.

Like any other form of gambling, the lottery can posibly contribute to an addiction.

The lottery is a tax on people that are bad at math.
